Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa is actively planning refurbishments to the resort in order to improve the guest experience. Disney is meticulous about keeping up their appearances and ensuring that regular maintenance, cleaning and upkeep are done in order to keep up the magical appearances. Guests come to Disney World and expect perfection in every aspect, especially for the cost they spend at a resort like Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa.
Here are the planned changes for the resort:
- August 21st through August 23rd: The basketball courts will be closed. The court is located closer to the villa resorts located at Disney’s Grand Floridan Resort & Spa. If guests want to be able to use basketball courts during their stay, they will need to head over to Disney’s Contemporary Resort and use the basketball courts there. They can take the monorail to get there or make a lengthy walk on one of the walking trails.
- August 28th through September 1st: The Garden View Tea Room will be completely closed during this time. The floor in the location will be getting replaced, so the restaurant will not be serviceable. The events that usually take place there, Disney’s Perfectly Princess Tea and Afternoon Tea, will be cancelled and not moved to another location. The Highway in the Sky Dine Around event will still take place during this time frame with no interruptions.
Will any of you be staying at Grand Floridian during these refurbishments?
