Disney’s Epcot is a great mix of innovation, imagination and countries from around the world. With so much to see and do in Epcot, here are the A to Z of this great park.
A: Akershus
Located in the Norway Pavilion, Akershus is a princess dining experience in a medieval castle. Guests are served a family style meal while visiting with different princesses from their favorite fairytale stories. This is an excellent option for princess fans who can’t get into Cinderella’s Royal Table in Magic Kingdom.
B: Behind the Seeds
Behind the Seeds is a thirty-minute tour of the gardens in The Land Pavilion. Guests can sign up on the My Disney Experience or visit the booth near Soarin’. Once signed up, guests are taken through the four amazing gardens that make up the pavilion. They will be able to see large fruits and vegetables as well as learn about the newest growing techniques. They can even take home some ideas for their own personal gardens. This is the perfect tour for a garden lover and priced at $25/person this is a steal.
C: Coral Reefs
The Seas Pavilion is a great place for guests to see numerous different aquariums. Throughout this 5.7-million-gallon aquarium, guests can see coral reef, sharks, dolphins, sea turtles and more. Covering only around 1% of the ocean, coral reefs are home to almost 25% of all ocean species. Walt Disney World is working to help preserve this important part of the ocean. D: Dolphins in Depth
For an unbelievable experience guests can sign up for Dolphins in Depth. This is a three-hour adventure where up to 8 people get up close and personal with dolphins. During this event, guest will learn about how the dolphins are trained, discuss global issues concerning the dolphins and finally interact with these amazing animals. This is a unique experience that very few guests know about or get to participate in. To learn more, visit Disney’s website.
E: Electric Umbrella
One of many quick service locations, Electric Umbrella is located in Future World. This is a typically quick service location serving sandwiches, pizza and salads. Don’t forget to use mobile ordering through the My Disney Experience app to skip the lines.
F: Frozen Ever After
The most popular ride in Epcot is Frozen Ever After. Based on the beloved movie Frozen, this is a ride guest won’t want to miss. Guests board a Norwegian boat and take sail through the story of Arendelle. This slow moving, dark ride, takes guest through the frozen lands where they meet Olaf, Kristoff, Sven and also Marshmallow. Don’t fret, guests will end their ride as summer returns to Arendelle and their favorite songs greet them.
G: Gran Fiesta Tour Starring the Three Caballeros
This hidden ride is located in the Mexican Pavilion. Here guests will travel along the Rio Grande as they try to find Donald. Throughout the ride guests get to see well knowns sites of Mexico while enjoying some laughs along the way. This ride is a great way to get out of the heat and relax for a while on an easy boat ride. Wait times are typically low making it a quick walk on ride.
H: Le Halles Boulangerie Patisserie
Located in the France Pavilion this delicious bakery is a must do while in Epcot’s World Showcase. The flavors of France are brought to life with delicacies, savory soups, salads, pastries and more. Stop for breakfast or grab a treat in the afternoon, but guests won’t want to miss out on these delicious desserts.
I: Illuminations
Epcot’s evening show Illuminations is scheduled to be retired in 2019. With that being said, guests are going to want to catch this show before it is gone for good. A story about Earth, this show is sure to amaze. Fireworks, lasers and a 350,000-pound Earth globe all make up this moving show.
J: Journey into Imagination
Join Figment in this ride through the Imagination Institute. Guests will enjoy this slow-moving ride that teaches them about the five senses. With Figment around, there is sure to be some excitement so be prepared for some fun along the way.
K: Kidcot Fun Stops
Kidcot Fun Stops are a great way to keep kids entertained, and learning, throughout the World Showcase. Located at each of the 11 countries throughout the World Showcase, these stops are interactive areas for kids to color, draw and collect information about the country. At each spot, kids are given the chance to create while learning about the country. This is a great, free activity for kids to participate in as they venture around the world.
L: Living with the Land
Take a boat ride through the greenhouses of The Land Pavilion. Learn about the new growing techniques used throughout the gardens, see amazing fruits and vegetables and spot a hidden Mickey all while relaxing. This is a fun way to see how Disney is growing food used in some of their very own restaurants such as Garden Grill.
M: Mission Space
Work together as a team to blast off to Mas in this Mission Space. Guests can choose from two different ride experiences when it comes to Mission Space. Orange is the more intense version for those thrill seekers whereas green offers a less intense version. No matter what guest choose, they will feel what it is like to be an astronaut in NASA training. Remember to work together in order to achieve the mission.
N: Nemo and Friends
Based on the loved movie Finding Nemo, guests ride a clam as they travel into the big blue world of Nemo and friends. Guests get to see all of their favorite characters and even see Nemo swim in the big aquarium. This is a fun, easy ride that kids and adults will both enjoy.
O: O Canada
Join Martin Short in a film that celebrates our neighbors to the north. In this film, guests will see great sites such as Bay of Fundy, Vancouver and Horseshoe Falls. Although there are no seats in this theatre, it is still a fun opportunity to slow down and learn about Canada.
P: Pixar Short Films
Located in Future World, guests can experience the imagination and innovation behind creating the Pixar films. An 18-minutes show, guests can see 3 Pixar shorts like never seen before, in 3D. This is a fun, moving show that is often overlooked. Don’t make that mistake and take time to stop by and see these amazing films.
Q: Disney DiveQuest
Another special event offered to guest is the Disney DiveQuest. In this 3-hour quest, guest get to scuba dive in the 5.7-million-gallon aquarium with 6,000 sea creatures. Guests must be SCUBA certified to participate and need advance reservations.
R: Reflections of China
Located in the China Pavilion, guests can take in a 14-minute wraparound film on ancient and modern China. Duck into the Forbidden City and travel down the Silk Road. This is great way to learn more about China while escaping the crowds and heat of the day.
S: Soarin’ Around the World
Take a flight on this ride located in the Land Pavilion at Epcot. One of the most popular rides in Epcot, Soarin’ is an adventure that takes guests around the world. Rise high above the Great Wall of China, soar over the beautiful safari of Africa, and end right where it all started in Epcot. This ride will leave guests amazed and in awe of such beautiful sights.
T: Test Track
Race on over to Test Track where guests start by building their own car before testing it out in a variety of situations. Guests will have fun deciding how to make their car the best prior to testing it out. This ride will take guest through four different testing areas, capability (handling), responsiveness (maneuverability), efficiency (fuel-saving and environmentally friendly), and finally power (speed). Hang on as this last part sends guests outside for a race like experience.
U: UnDiscovered Future World
If guests are interested in the history of EPCOT this is the tour for them. This four-hour walking tour will take guests back to when Walt dreamed up EPCOT. They will learn about how Future World came to be and the thought and planning that went into the countries in the World Showcase.
V: Voices of Liberty
Head inside the American Adventure Pavilion to experience this moving 15 minutes acapella show. Brought to guests by colonial singers, this beautiful music is performed at specific times throughout the day so check the times guide to make sure it isn’t missed.
W: World Showcase Lagoon
The center of the World Showcase is the lagoon in which the 11 countries are centered around. The lagoon offers a variety of beautiful views as guests travel around it. Guests can also fish on the lagoon, take boats across it and it is of course home to Illuminations.
X: eXtra Events
Throughout the year guests are able to participate in a variety of different events at Epcot. Starting the year with Festival of the Arts, guests can enjoy a celebration of the arts. During this festival, guests can take in Broadway performers, become a part of famous paintings or take a class on drawing. Soon after the beautiful International Flower and Garden Festival starts. Here guests can enjoy the breathtaking topiaries, gardens and food booths throughout Epcot. Epcot’s Food and Wine Festival is one of the most popular festivals. Guests can come and enjoy numerous food and drink options throughout the World Showcase and Future World. Finally, Festival of the Holidays seems to be a great way to end the year. Guests can find storytellers from the different countries and once again enjoy delicious food for the holidays at special kitchens. Epcot is always giving a little something extra for guests to enjoy throughout the year.
Located in the UK Pavilion, this is where guests can get their fish and chips. This is a quick service location allowing guest to grab the savory fish and hot chips while strolling around the World Showcase.
Z: PiZZa
One of the best pizza places in Epcot can be found in Italy. Via Napoli is an authentic pizza place with wood-fire pizza big enough to share. If guests are craving a good slice of pie, this is where they will want to go.
