Walt Disney World’s Epcot Adds Electric Umbrella to Mobile Ordering
We are excited to learn that Mobile Ordering has expanded again. This time the expansion is over to Epcot! The first quick service restaurant at Epcot to offer the service is Electric Umbrella. The service is live there today for guests to try out. Guests that want to use the service will need to have the My Disney Experience app and provide credit card information within the app to complete the order. This can save guests a lot of time and eliminate the need to spend time waiting in line. You can also make it work nicely within your schedule so you can eat and run.
With the service, guests are able to order and pay for their meal via My Disney Experience on their phones. Once they arrive at the restaurant, then they can check the “I am here” button and the location will start prepping your food. You receive a notification when your food is ready and which window to go and pick up the food from. If you are on the Disney Dining Plan, unfortunately you won’t be able to to use the service since it is currently isn’t synced with the Disney Dining Plans. We definitely hope that this will be an enhancement in the future!
So far it looks like the rollout of the service is going well and we are excited to see it making the expansion into Epcot. Who out there will be trying it out at Electric Umbrella soon?
