We have learned important information for guests that will be staying at Walt Disney World’s Boardwalk Inn in early August this year. Â The resort will be undergoing fire alarm tests starting on Thursday, July 27th through Saturday, August 5th, with the exception of Sunday, July 30th where there will be no tests performed. Â The tests are expected to be conducted between the hours of 10 AM and 4 PM on the applicable days. Â The tests will be performed by Reedy Creek Fire Department, the fire department that covers all of Walt Disney World. Â The tests will include audio and visual alarms. Â The alarms should be disregarded during these windows unless a cast member specifically says otherwise.
Â
Disney puts a lot of effort and care into guests safety, so these tests are performed around the resorts and other areas as needed to ensure the systems meet the safety needs for the facility. Â These are important exercises for the property and definitely makes us feel confident in the safety of the resort should a situation occur.
Boardwalk Inn is a Deluxe Villa resort that is also in the DVC collection of resorts. Â The resort is conveniently located right on Disney’s Boardwalk with a ton of great restaurants and nightlife just a quick walk away. Â There are also amazing water and boardwalk views available for the guests staying there.
Will any of our readers be impacted by these scheduled fire alarm tests?
