Walt Disney World’s Behind the Seeds Tour Inspired Guest’s Career Path

It is amazing to see the way that Disney has an impact on everyday lives.  Disney Parks Blog shared an amazing story about Michael Ogden, who credits the Behind the Seeds tour at Epcot.  He took this tour back when he was a teenager and it sparked his interest in plants.  He build his own hydroponic system of fruits and vegetables in his family’s basement in Canada.  Since then, Michael continued his studies and interest to become a plant scientist, focusing PhD research on molecular biology. Michael visited the Disney Agricultural Sciences team to celebrate their passion for all things plants.

It is cool that Disney had such an impact on a guest and helped to shape his career forever.  For other guests who are interested in agriculture and plants, they should definitely check out the Living with the Land attraction as well as the Behind the Seeds tour.  The tour takes guests on a journey to explore the science behind sustainable food production and learn how hydroponics and diverse planting methods can work together to help feed the world.
