The grand opening of the Planet Hollywood Observatory in Disney Springs at Walt Disney World has been a huge success. The grand opening welcomed celebrities like Britney Spears and Reese Witherspoon to participate in opening festivities. The original Planet Hollywood location closed last year so that it could be completely renovated and re-imagined as the new restaurant. Robert Earl, the founder and CEO of Planet Hollywood, has announced that he intends to open a quick service location outside of the restaurant. Disney has also given approval for this expansion and construction to take place in the area.
This has become a normal occurrence in the Disney Springs area. Most of the major restaurants have quick service locations, walk-up locations so that you can still get some of the delicious entrees and offerings from the restaurant without requiring a reservation or the need to sit down for full table service meal. This has become a great option, especially if you only have time for a quick meal. We don’t have any word yet as to what will be found on the menu for this new quick-service location, or whether Guy Fieri, the celebrity chef who created the menu for the Planet Hollywood Observatory, will be working on the quick service menu.
We will keep you posted as we learn more, including when we can expect to see this new location.
