Walt Disney World is expected to launch a brand new transportation service that would be similar to how Uber and similar companies operate. Â The service would pick guests up from any location and deliver them directly to the location of their choice. Â This service is expected to be a guest-paid service as opposed to the free transportation options that Disney already provides. Â The service would be much more guest-friendly in that guests will have more options when it comes to getting from their resort to another resort, which currently is achieved by traveling to a them park and then catching connecting transportation from there. Â The service would also drop guests as close to their destination, particularly their resort room, as possible rather than being limited to the standard bus drop off locations.
Disney has started hiring drivers for the new service. Â The cast members in these positions must have at least 1 year of experience. Â They must also be well versed in all things Walt Disney World-related so that they can help answer any guest questions. Â The vehicles used for the service are also expected to be electric vehicles so that they are more energy efficient and cost-effective in the long run.
Who out there would use an Uber-like service to get to your destination faster?
