Disney is always making a variety of changes and improvements to ensure that guest have the most magical experiences when they visit Walt Disney World. Some of these changes that are planned are for the park entrances at each of the four major theme parks on property. Disney has plans to improve the guest experience in a variety of ways. The plans include changes to the major roads around the theme parks, updated and additional parking lots and actual physical changes to the main entrances, walkways and security processes.
We are already hearing about a variety of the changes that are underway at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. These changes are in progress to be implemented ahead of the opening of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. There is a new parking lot under construction at the park as well as the new entrance to the park. The main entrance will be located off of Osceola Parkway when the changes are completely finished and implemented, which is actually expected to be later this year. Disney’s Hollywood Studios will also see the addition of the Disney Skyliner station and new bus stops for the resort buses. The entire entrance to the park will receive new walkways and security stations, too!
These improvement plans won’t just take place at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Work is in progress to other roadways around Walt Disney World and many of these changes being completed at Hollywood Studios are also expected to begin at the other parks. There also continues to be a lot of work around Disney Springs to help traffic flow better through that area, too.
The entire plan will take years to complete and implement, so we expect to see these roll out at the different parks as they get completed.
