Walt Disney World to Launch SpectacuLAB at Epcot

Disney Parks Blog announced an exciting new experience today, which happens to be coming to Epcot. Innoventions West in the Future World area of Epcot will welcome The SpectacuLAB.  This experience is reported to be an interactive show where guests will join scientists (and their intern) for various experiments.  The experiments test out different scientific principles including barometric pressure, acceleration, ultrasonic pressure and force.  The show is meant to be educational and entertaining at the same time.  There will be opportunities for audience participation in the various experiments, too.

The sponsors for the event are Murata and Science from Scientists.  Murata is a “leader in the design, manufacture and supply of advanced electronic components” while Science from Scientists is a “nonprofit organization that aims to improve STEM literacy at schools.”

We don’t know for sure yet when the experience will officially open, but we know that it will be sometime in November.  We will keep you posted as we learn more about what to expect from this new experience, including the official opening date.

What do you all think of the concept for the new show?  Who can’t wait to go and check it out?

About Christy Caby

I am a diehard Disney fanatic! I fell in love with all things Disney from an early age and that only increased once I first visited Walt Disney World! It led me to complete a yearlong Disney College Program working at merchandise locations within Disney’s Hollywood Studios (Disney-MGM Studios at that time) and I worked for Disney Parks & Resorts Technology in Project/Program Management. Now I get to write about Disney and help others plan their magical vacations! Disney holds a special place in the hearts of my entire family as my husband proposed there, we honeymooned there, took trips while pregnant with each of my boys and have visited with them many, many times from 8 weeks old through now. One of my favorite memories from each trip is always the look on my kids’ faces the first time they see the castle. I’d love to help you plan your magical vacation!
