We recently reported that the Star Wars Galaxy Far Far Way show at Disney’s Hollywood Studios in Walt Disney World was temporarily closing and stage removed from the area. Disney planned to create a mobile stage that would allow them to remove the stage in the evenings to make more room for guests to view the evening fireworks show with projections on the Chinese Theater. We have now learned that Disney has scrapped this idea due to unforeseen issues. It seems the concept for the mobile stage isn’t working as expected. Disney plans to return the original stage back to the area and resume the stage show starting on July 2nd.
While the stage show isn’t in operation, there is still great entertainment in the area. There is currently a surplus amount of Star Wars characters hanging out in the courtyard area in front of the Chinese Theater so that you can interact with them and get great pictures. We are glad that the Star Wars Galaxy Far Far Away stage show will return just in time for the 4th of July holiday week. The parks are extremely busy during the summer, so an additional show throughout the day gives guests more options and entertainment during their visit to Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
Who else is ready for the show to come back? We can’t get enough of the Star Wars presence at the park!
