Walt Disney World Rock the Dots Celebration Continues at Animal Kingdom

We have been updating regularly about the various events and activities that are coming up for the Rock the Dots celebration at Walt Disney World.  The celebration is in honor of National Polka Dot Day (coming up on Monday, January 22nd) and the lovable Minnie Mouse.  Minnie Mouse is being honored with her very own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in California.  The celebration is already underway at Disney Springs with various shopping deals and limited merchandise.  Disney Parks Blog also released a special video of some of the residents at Disney’s Animal Kingdom also rocking their “dots” at the park.

These beautiful animals get the luxury of rocking dots and other markings every single day throughout the year.  No outfit needed!

There are many ways that you can celebrate this fun event at Walt Disney World.  You can head over to Disney Springs for all of the shopping fun.  You can also attend the send-off party for Minnie Mouse on January 21st before she heads out to California.  All of the theme parks will also have Minnie Mouse merchandise.  You can wear your polka dots around, no matter where you are at!

Don’t forget that those of you at home can watch the send off party via live stream from Disney Parks Blog on January 21st.  You can even find some of the limited merchandise on ShopDisneyParks.com if you want to make sure you get in on a piece of the action.

Who out there will be rocking their dots?

About Christy Caby

I am a diehard Disney fanatic! I fell in love with all things Disney from an early age and that only increased once I first visited Walt Disney World! It led me to complete a yearlong Disney College Program working at merchandise locations within Disney’s Hollywood Studios (Disney-MGM Studios at that time) and I worked for Disney Parks & Resorts Technology in Project/Program Management. Now I get to write about Disney and help others plan their magical vacations! Disney holds a special place in the hearts of my entire family as my husband proposed there, we honeymooned there, took trips while pregnant with each of my boys and have visited with them many, many times from 8 weeks old through now. One of my favorite memories from each trip is always the look on my kids’ faces the first time they see the castle. I’d love to help you plan your magical vacation!
