Walt Disney World Opening New Spy Glass Grille Restaurant at Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort

Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort has been part of a huge renovation project actively under construction.  As part of the major renovations, most of the dining locations had to close.  This included Shutters, Old Port Royale Food Court and the Banana Cabana Pool Bar.  Disney has tried to make up for the construction and lack of dining options by adding Island Markets for guests to purchase various food items.  There is a food truck that is onsite with delicious quick offerings for guests.  There is also a tent that has been set up where breakfast and dinner buffets are served for guests featuring delicious Caribbean flavors.  If you love staying at Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort, but have missed out on more permanent food options, then you will be excited to learn that a new quick service dining location is expected to open at the resort in early 2018.

This quick service location is expected to open near the Trinidad South Village area of the resort.  Spy Glass Grille is the name that we have heard for the new location.  Disney is already posting for cast member positions to work at the location.  We don’t have menu details or any other information about the restaurant but it will definitely be nice to have a new dining option at the resort.

There is still more change planned for Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort.  There will be a waterfront dining area added as well as shopping and other locations.  It is always hard to wait for the new and exciting things to finally open, but we have no doubt that they will be well worth it once they are done.

Who out there has stayed at Disney’s Caribbean Beach since the original dining locations were closed?

About Christy Caby

I am a diehard Disney fanatic! I fell in love with all things Disney from an early age and that only increased once I first visited Walt Disney World! It led me to complete a yearlong Disney College Program working at merchandise locations within Disney’s Hollywood Studios (Disney-MGM Studios at that time) and I worked for Disney Parks & Resorts Technology in Project/Program Management. Now I get to write about Disney and help others plan their magical vacations! Disney holds a special place in the hearts of my entire family as my husband proposed there, we honeymooned there, took trips while pregnant with each of my boys and have visited with them many, many times from 8 weeks old through now. One of my favorite memories from each trip is always the look on my kids’ faces the first time they see the castle. I’d love to help you plan your magical vacation!
