Walt Disney World Offers Variety of New Year’s Eve Fireworks Viewing Options

New Year’s Eve is a major event at Walt Disney World with thousands of guests coming to ring in the new year at the “happiest place on Earth”.  There are a few different fireworks displays that will be offered around Walt Disney World, plus various dining and party events for guests that purchased tickets in advance.  You will also find dance parties in the parks for those of you who want to ring in the new year with some of your favorite characters and Disney songs. We have details on where all you can celebrate New Year’s Eve at Walt Disney World this year:

Magic Kingdom:

• Fantasy in the Sky Fireworks:  ­The fireworks will be performed around Cinderella Castle on December 30th and December 31st.  The show will begin at 11:50 PM.  There will also be an earlier showing at 6:30 PM for folks that don’t want to stay out in the park until midnight.
• New Year’s Celebration Dance Parties:  The dance parties will be located in Frontierland and Tomorrowland.  The music and fun will run all the way up until midnight so guests can dance right into 2018. 
• Park Hours:  8 AM to 1 AM

Epcot:

• New Year’s Countdown Fireworks:  The fireworks will begin at 11:40 PM and will be a spectacular show around World Showcase.
• New Year’s Eve Parties:  There will be various dance parties with DJs around Epcot.  Locations will include the America Garden Stage and the Future World Fountain Stage.  There will be other lively entertainment found scattered around the park.
• New Year’s Eve Buffet Dinner:  Guests that are still looking for a delicious place to have dinner on New Year’s Eve can check out the buffet at Epcot.  The meal does require reservations and advance payment, so guests can visit disneyworld.com/holidays or call (407) WDW-DINE (3463) to make their reservations today.
• Park Hours:  9 AM to 1 AM

Disney’s Hollywood Studios:

• New Year’s Eve Dance Party:  The dance party will start at 7 PM in front of the Chinese Theater.
• Jingle Bell, Jingle BAM!:  This holiday projection show will start at 8 PM for the final time during the season.
• Star Wars: A Galactic Spectacular: This amazing fireworks show will start at midnight to ring in 2018, Star Wars style.
• Park Hours:  9 AM to 12 AM
