Walt Disney World Offers Painting With a View Classes for DVC Members

Credit: Disney Dining

We have found another reason why it is so exciting to be a Disney Vacation Club member.  Walt Disney World will start offering Painting with a View events for DVC members.  There will now be painting classes that are  led by an instructor and will take place at the Top of the World Lounge, which is at the top of Bay Lake Tower, located at Disney’s Contemporary Resort.  This new event will start on January 2nd, 2018 and is expected to be offered on Tuesdays and Thursdays.  There will be different paintings on each day of the week so that guests can paint different things if they come multiple times during their stay.

Here are the details for each class:

  • Tuesdays:  9:30 AM to 11:30 AM
    • $50 per person, per class
    • Breakfast foods with a complimentary alcoholic beverage (additional options are available for purchase)
  • Thursdays: 1 PM to 3 PM
    • $50 per person, per class
    • Snacks and beverages including a complimentary alcoholic beverage (additional options are available for purchase)

The painting event can be booked 180 days in advance with guests calling Member Services.  Members will need to be prepared to pay full price for the event at the time it is booked. Guests will be required to provide their DVC membership card and photo ID in order to check in at the event.  The event is only for guests that are at least 12 years old and anyone under 18 must have at least one paying adult in the party.

Painting events have become quite popular around the globe, so it is no surprise that Walt Disney World would start to offer more of these.

What do you all think of this new DVC offering?

About Christy Caby

I am a diehard Disney fanatic! I fell in love with all things Disney from an early age and that only increased once I first visited Walt Disney World! It led me to complete a yearlong Disney College Program working at merchandise locations within Disney’s Hollywood Studios (Disney-MGM Studios at that time) and I worked for Disney Parks & Resorts Technology in Project/Program Management. Now I get to write about Disney and help others plan their magical vacations! Disney holds a special place in the hearts of my entire family as my husband proposed there, we honeymooned there, took trips while pregnant with each of my boys and have visited with them many, many times from 8 weeks old through now. One of my favorite memories from each trip is always the look on my kids’ faces the first time they see the castle. I’d love to help you plan your magical vacation!
