Walt Disney World Offering Star Wars: Galactic Nights on December 16th

We have exciting news for all of you Star Wars fans out there!  Star Wars: Galactic Nights will be returning to Walt Disney World in December.  The event will take place at Disney’s Hollywood Studios on December 16th where Star Wars fans will be able to celebrate all things Star Wars.  Guests will get to enjoy Star Wars entertainment experiences as well edible treats and merchandise themed for the event.  The guests that attend the event will get to walk down the red carpet and enjoy various photo backdrops with scenes from the films.

There are tons of great happenings scheduled for the event.  Here is what has been confirmed thus far:

  • Star Wars Meet and Greets: There will be popular Star Wars characters like Darth Vader, Ewoks, Storm Troopers and other popular characters
  • Galactic Nights Event Merchandise:  There will be special merchandise that is exclusive just for the event and various themed shopping opportunities.
  • Galactic Nights Food Options:  There will be special food offerings that are exclusive just for the event and various themed shopping opportunities.  There will even be a Galactic Tasting Sampler available for guests to sample a variety of themed foods.
  • Star Wars Photo Opportunities: There will be various photo backdrops and other PhotoPass opportunities available all over the theme park.   There will even be new scenes from the newest films for special photo backdrops.
  • Star Wars Entertainment:  Star Wars: A Galactic Spectacular fireworks and  Star Wars: A Galaxy Far, Far Away will be performed during the event and include components of the newer films.
  • Special Sneak Peek at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge: If you head on over to the Epic Theater, you will get to experience a panel discussion about Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge (14-acre Star Wars expansion planned for Disney’s Hollywood Studios).

The event is a special tickets event that requires event tickets to be purchased in advance.  The event tickets cost $129 for adults and $124 for children (ages 3 to 9).  Children that are under 3 are free to enter the event with other event ticket purchases.  There are discounts for Annual Passholders and DVC Members off of the base ticket price.
