Walt Disney World Has Begun Serving Drinks Without Lids and Straws

We announced previously that Walt Disney World would no longer offer straws.  This change is in an effort to reduce plastic waste that the is generated by the theme parks and resorts on property.  We are getting word that this change has begun in various locations around Walt Disney World.  There are quick service locations that are serving drinks without lids or straws (but they are available on the request).  Some locations may still have a stock of plastic straws for a limited time, but all straws on property will soon be replaced with paper straws going forward.

These changes on property is expected to result in a decrease of 175 million straws that are used by guests each year.  That is a huge impact in terms of conservation and reducing plastic waste!
