Walt Disney World Closing Attractions at Epcot’s Innoventions East

More attractions are slated to be cut at Epcot’s Innoventions East pavilion.  Sum of all Thrills and StormStruck will be in their last day of operation on September 14, 2016.  The attractions are closing due to their sponsorships ending, and not getting renewed.

StormStruck is sponsored by a few different sponsors, including Simpson Strong-Tie, The Federal Alliance of Safe Home – FLASH, RenaissanceRe and State Farm Insurance.  The attraction allows guests to experience all of the elements associated with a major severe storm.

Sum of all Thrills is sponsored by Raytheon.  In the attraction, guests are allowed to design a ride and getting exposure the math, engineering, science, etc. in the process.  After they are finished with the design, then they actually get to experience what it would be like to ride the attraction they just created.

Once these attractions are officially closed there will only be one attraction left, Colortopia by Glidden.  There is no word yet on what, if anything, will be replacing the attractions.

Disney holds a special place in the hearts of my entire family as my husband proposed there, we honeymooned there, took trips… More »
