Walt Disney World Closes Sound Lion at Disney Springs

Sound Lion was a retail shop in Disney Springs.  The shop was located in The Landing area of Disney Springs and sold headphones, bluetooth speakers and accessories, ear phones and various gadgets and accessories for listening to music.  The store first opened in February of 2015 and is now officially permanently closed for the area.  We haven’t received official reports for the reason, but it could be that the store wasn’t bringing in the revenue that it expected in the location.  Disney has been working hard to expand the Disney Springs area and drive shopping revenue to the area, so if the store wasn’t meeting expectations, it wouldn’t be surprising for the brand to pull out and make room for another brand to come in and utilize the prime shopping real estate.

There are also reports that another store is already slated to take over the location and open up.  We don’t have confirmation yet as to what this store will be.  We hope that it will be another fun shop to add to the Disney Springs area, preferably something unique that will bring shopping that you can’t easily find in most vacation destinations.  As soon as we learn more about what will take over the space, we will update for all of you here.
