We have received confirmation that two of the Walt Disney World boat transportation routes were closed today in order to start necessary repairs in the wake of Hurricane Irma. Â Walt Disney World managed to avoid major overall damage around property, but it appears that there was an impact to the boats causing them to need servicing. Â We have the information below on the boat transportation that is currently unavailable for guests.
Here is the info for where guests won’t be able to catch a boat until further notice:
- Crescent Lake Route: Â This route services Epcot, Hollywood Studios, Disney’s Boardwalk Inn, Disney’s Beach Club, Disney;s Yacht Club and the non-Disney owned Swan & Dolphin Hotels.
- Green Launch Route: Â This route is the Sassagoula River Cruise that services Disney’s Old Key West Resort and Disney Springs.
We haven’t received any confirmation as to when we can expect the boat service to re-open. Â Guests in these areas will need to take the buses or other available transportation in order to get to their destination.
Who else out there absolutely loves riding on the boats? Â It would be a shame to miss out on the World Showcase entrance to Epcot!
