It has been a Disney tradition to select ambassadors to represent Walt Disney World and share the magic and spirit of Disney all around the parks and resorts. The 2019-2020 Walt Disney World Resort Ambassadors have been selected and announced. They are Marilyn West and Stephen Lim. The Ambassador Program started over 50 years ago and was created by Walt Disney himself. Walt would select a cast member to represent the resort for different public appearances and it became an official role.

Marilyn is a member of the Worldwide Safety Operations team for Walt Disney Parks and Resorts. Stephen works as a Front Desk Service Advisor at Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort, and teaches Traditions to new cast members.
George Kalogridis, President of Walt Disney World Resort, had this to say about the new Ambassadors:
“Being a member of the Walt Disney World Ambassador team is an extraordinary honor–as well as a tremendous responsibility. It takes very special people to represent America’s largest single-site workplace and, on behalf of all their fellow Cast members, I congratulate Marilyn and Stephen on their selection.”
The new Ambassadors will undergo three months of training and then will begin in their new roles in January 2019.  They will remain in the role through December 2020. Congrats to Marilyn and Stephen!
