Walt Disney World is planning to temporarily close the popular stage show at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, Star Wars – A Galaxy Far, Far Away. The closure will be in order to complete a refurbishment to create mobile stages for the show so that it can easily be moved away from the area when needed. Disney attempted this previously and had to put the original “permanent” stage back in place. It looks like Disney is ready to take the attraction down to finally put it in place. The Star Wars – A Galaxy Far, Far Away show will be officially closed for the refurbishment starting on October 10th through October 22nd, 2017. The show is expected to officially re-open to guests starting on October 23rd, 2017.

We are glad that Disney finally resolved the technical issues they had with the mobile stages that originally halted the implementation. With the change to the mobile stage, Disney is expecting to put the stage show away most days in the evenings so that guests are able to get better visuals of the nighttime show and more guests will be able to fit into the most desirable areas for the show.
We can’t wait for the show to get back and look forward to the stages being out of the way for the amazing evening shows. Who will miss out on seeing the show over their next trip?
