Violent Brawl Breaks Out at Disney World’s Luxury Resort, Baby Reportedly Caught in Chaos
Disney’s Contemporary Resort, one of the crown jewels of Walt Disney World’s resort lineup, recently became the unexpected backdrop for a chaotic fight that’s now gone viral online. Recorded on the evening of August 9, 2025, the footage captures a tense and heated brawl among multiple guests near the entrance to Bayview Gifts on the resort’s iconic Grand Canyon Concourse.
The video, first posted on TikTok by @alyssabarattatata, shows a group of men shoving, yelling, and eventually throwing punches while other guests look on in disbelief. The caption, “couldn’t finish my bar crawl mannnn,” paired with the sarcastic overlay, “having a magical time at Disney,” underscores the surreal nature of the scene.
@alyssabarattata couldn’t finish my bar crawl mannnnn 😅
Scene Breakdown: What the Video Shows
From the moment the clip begins, it’s clear that tensions are high. Four or more men engage in aggressive pushing and shoving. One man in a white shirt throws a punch that causes another to stagger. A man in a tan shirt tries to intervene, but his efforts go unheeded.
Amid the chaos, a woman holding a newborn infant is seen attempting to calm the group, extending her arm in what seems like a plea to stop. She ultimately steps back as the situation escalates. Another woman pushing a stroller rushes toward the fight, abandoning her stroller to keep it out of harm’s way.
Disney Cast Members, including security personnel, are visible but notably hesitant to immediately jump into the fray. One Cast Member wearing a name tag holds her arms wide, seemingly directing guests away from the brawl, while security guards stand to the side.
TikTok Comments Shed Light on Guest Reactions
The video’s comments section became a forum for frustrated guests weighing in on the incident and the broader issue of guest behavior at Disney resorts. Some of the most telling remarks include:
-
“In a deluxe?? We don’t behave like that in Pop just sayin.”
-
“Never seen this at the All Star.”
-
“Why would that lady get in there with a newborn.”
-
“The security guard just standing there.”
-
“They spent a lot of money to be thrown out and banned from a place.”
One commenter shared a wild and troubling story that adds context to ongoing problems with unruly guests at Disney:
“If any of u are curious William Litners (old bald man on blue collared shirt) daughter (white shirt business pants looks like she’s from bugs life) antagonized a random family at Disney while drunk. She told her father to attack a random guy and the father did, but was so out of shape he couldn’t even connect a punch, then got his fat sons to come in and sucker punch the other family. He now has multiple charges against him and isn’t banned from Disney but the assaulted family is. Hope this helps.”
What’s Going On With Disney Guest Behavior?
This latest brawl is not an isolated incident. Over the past few months, Walt Disney World has seen a troubling uptick in public fights, aggressive behavior, and guest disruptions across its parks and resorts.
Earlier this summer, violent arguments erupted in Disney Springs and EPCOT, with one Annual Passholder yelling at security in a scene that drew widespread condemnation.
Alcohol consumption and large group dynamics often complicate crowd control efforts, contributing to these flare-ups.
Security Response: Criticism and Challenges
The video of the Contemporary Resort fight shows security staff nearby but not immediately breaking up the fight, which many viewers found frustrating. Some social media users accused guards of passivity, while others noted the difficulties in safely managing fast-moving conflicts in crowded public spaces.
Disney has yet to comment on the fight or clarify whether any guests were removed or banned following the incident.
What This Means for Disney Guests
For families and repeat visitors, such incidents are a source of concern. Disney’s reputation for safety and family-friendly fun is being tested by these public altercations. Some worry that if conflicts like this continue, it could impact visitor experiences and attendance.
On the other hand, many emphasize that these fights represent a small fraction of visitors and shouldn’t overshadow the millions who enjoy Disney peacefully every year.
Moving Forward: Can Disney Reinforce the Magic?
Walt Disney World is likely considering increased security measures, enhanced Cast Member training, and potentially tighter alcohol policies to combat rising behavioral issues.
The viral fight at Disney’s Contemporary Resort is a stark reminder that even the most magical places aren’t immune to real-world challenges. While the brawl left many guests shocked and concerned, it also highlights the importance of strong security and community standards in maintaining the Disney experience.
As the park continues to navigate these challenges, guests can hope for a return to the peace and enchantment that has made Disney a beloved destination for generations.
Until legally held responsible these fight groups will continue. They think let’s drink, then tempers flair, and boom a fight. To the one who said they paid a lot to come to Disney, they chose to be in the chaos. You reap what you sow. The aggressive parties should be arrested and banned for life. Too much nonsense being allowed now a days. People should start suing the aggressive parties for damages then let’s see….
I know it is a huge revenue, but alcohol seem to be the contributing factor for most of these fights and other nonsense happening in the parks. Take the alcohol out and get back to being a park for families. We should not have to worry about people under the influence doing things they normally would not if they were sober.
Why is the assaulted family banned? Not sure I understand. Seems it should be the other way around,
Me too! I don’t understand why the assaulted family was band? If it is true they were assaulted, then Disney should reverse it and ban the ones who caused it.
People who are bad actors get worse when alcohol is involved. This culture believe rules are not meant for them. Welcome to the new Disney. No longer family friendly. Go back to Walt’s dream. You people are destroying the place.
What a horrible act to witness as a Disney Guest! Seems to me if the family that was assaulted was banned, then the aggravating party should be banned also… whatever happened to just minding your own business and treat each other with kindness? For Mickey’s sake you are at Disney- conduct yourself in an appropriate manner! Sharing the Magic goes a long way! Apparently these people didn’t get the Memo! As far as security goes- they might have orders from their superiors not to jump into the middle of a brawl due to liability and safety concerns for the security personnel. Who knows.. sad to see the “Magic” Dwindle!
Seen this in Toontown. Of all places. Something about strollers. Kids got trampled in the foray. Guests feel so entitled paying that much to go to Disney. Shore towns in New Jersey are having the same issues
I rue the day Disney decided alcohol was a good idea in the parks and resorts.
Alcohol sells and when you keep selling alcohol everywhere This is what you get.
THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT WALT WANTED WHEN HE HAD THE IDEA TO BUILD A FAMILY THEME PARK WHERE KIDS AND PARENTS COULD ENJOY TOGETHER.
GrumpyED amen on that, this is not what walt dreams having alcohol at the parks and resort’s. Its was having a family vacations, doing family fun together .Not having one or both parents at a BAR drinking Alcohol.
The grand Floridian will be next with a bar in the lobby. Too much alcohol everywhere. I like a glass of wine as well as the next person, but there are too many drunks.
Security officers job is to notify local law enforcement and keep bystanders safe. Cast members are not adding themselves to a violet altercation. Both families will be held responsible for their actions and will be banned for life from Disney properties and parks.
You’re absolutely right, Doug. Disney Security Officers are not required to physically intervene in any situation, and have actually been fired in the past for doing so. They aren’t trained in the skills necessary, including self defense, to end a physical conflict. Disney doesn’t want the inevitable liability lawsuits from any injuries a guest might receive that could be blamed on a Security Officer. I know these things because I was one.
At one time Disney Security Officers stand for something but over the years, you might as well have the Boy Scout doing Disney Security.
Both parties were banned. This is such a weird incident.
