During April, several beloved attractions in Magic Kingdom will be closed temporarily. Among these is the Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, which has been undergoing extensive refurbishment since January. This classic western-themed roller coaster is receiving a new track along with various updates and upgrades to enhance the guest experience. Unfortunately, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad will remain closed throughout 2025, leaving guests eagerly awaiting its return.

Another notable closure is the Hall of Presidents, which is receiving its routine enhancements. Disney typically updates this attraction with each new presidential administration. Given the return of Donald Trump to office, it remains to be seen how the attraction will incorporate this change. The last update involved adding Joe Biden’s animatronic figure, and Disney’s plan moving forward is still unclear.

Lastly, the Astro Orbiter, while perhaps not the main draw for many visitors, will also be closed this April. This fun, space-themed flight attraction in Tomorrowland is expected to reopen sometime during the summer, although no specific date has been announced yet.

At EPCOT, the only ride set for closure in April is the well-known Test Track. This thrilling ride, which has been thrilling guests since 2012, initially shut down last year for a significant reimagining. Disney confirmed that Test Track would close forever in its current format last June, prompting excitement about its future enhancements.

Over the past months, guests have watched as the previous version of Test Track, known as Test Track 2.0, was dismantled. Disney has plans to introduce Test Track 3.0, although details about its new design and features have yet to be revealed. Fans of the original ride are eagerly waiting to see how Disney will revamp this classic, which had sparked plenty of debate and discussion during its time in operation.

While no reopening date for Test Track 3.0 has been confirmed, it is expected to welcome guests back sometime later this year. The anticipation surrounding this iconic attraction’s return is palpable among EPCOT visitors.

Visitors planning to enjoy Disney’s Hollywood Studios in April can rest easy, as there are currently no reported closures at the park. This means all of the popular attractions will be available for guests, making it an excellent time to visit.

Hollywood Studios boasts a range of thrilling rides, including the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror, Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster, and Slinky Dog Dash. Additionally, the ever-popular Galaxy’s Edge, themed around Star Wars, continues to attract fans from all over the world. With no closures, guests can take advantage of the full lineup of experiences the park has to offer.

Furthermore, many exciting projects are on the horizon for Disney’s Hollywood Studios, hinting at even more attractions and experiences in the future.

April looks bright for fans of Disney’s Animal Kingdom, as no rides or attractions are scheduled for closure during the month. This news is particularly encouraging for families and guests eager to explore the park’s unique offerings.

While some parts of DinoLand U.S.A. closed permanently in January, including the kid-friendly ride TriceraTop Spin, the remaining attractions in this area will remain operational throughout 2025. The main attraction within DinoLand, DINOSAUR, will also stay open until its planned permanent closure in early 2026.

The closure of DinoLand U.S.A. is paving the way for a new South America-inspired land, designed to replace the current footprint. This exciting development is set to feature several thrilling new attractions, including a ride inspired by Disney’s Encanto and another based on Indiana Jones. The future of Animal Kingdom promises fresh adventures, even as the park maintains its existing charm for visitors in April.
