UPDATE: Teenage Girl Missing From Disneyland Found Safe After Days of Search
A trip to Disneyland is meant to be full of fun and excitement, creating memories that last a lifetime. But for one family, their visit to the “Happiest Place on Earth” turned into a terrifying situation when their 16-year-old daughter went missing.

According to initial reports, 16-year-old Annie Kathleen was visiting Disney California Adventure Park on April 20 when she got into an argument with her family. After the disagreement, she reportedly left the theme park and was last seen walking down Ball Road, just outside the resort.
The Kathleen family, who are from Calipatria, California, about four hours south of Disneyland, had no idea where their daughter might have gone, especially since she wasn’t familiar with the area.
Naturally, the family was extremely worried, and the Anaheim Police Department was immediately contacted. Annie was reported missing, and authorities began their search to locate her. The search made headlines, and concerned citizens began sharing the information online to help in locating Annie.

On April 24, 2025, the Anaheim Police Department released a statement that Annie had been found safe, much to the relief of her family and the community. She was reportedly discovered in Mexicali, California, after being spotted by a good Samaritan who recognized her from a Facebook post.

According to a report from KYMA-TV, she had been hiding in some garbage cans, where a good Samaritan spotted her. The individual recognized Annie from the Facebook post and immediately contacted the police, leading to her safe recovery.
At the time of her disappearance, the family was uncertain how Annie had traveled so far from Disneyland. The teen was unfamiliar with the area, and authorities are still investigating how she ended up in Mexicali. The situation raised many questions, but in the end, Annie’s safe return brought a wave of relief to all involved.
