Universal Pulls the Plug on Annual Passholder Page: Here’s What’s Replacing It

Universal Orlando Resort just dropped a social media bombshell — the official UOAP Facebook Group, the longtime digital clubhouse for Annual Passholders, is getting the boot. But don’t freak out just yet. Universal isn’t ghosting its most loyal fans — it’s just switching things up and giving its Passholder family a more polished place to hang.

So What Happened?

On Monday morning, Universal posted a message in the UOAP Facebook Group announcing that the group would be deactivated in the near future. The reason? Facebook’s policy changes around how Groups work.

Here’s what Universal had to say to its fans in the now-viral post:

“HEY, PASSHOLDER FAMILY

We have an update on the UOAP Facebook Group.

Due to platform policy changes for Groups, we’re launching a new Facebook page to make sure our Passholders continue to get timely and relevant information about our universe. We’re also launching a brand-new Instagram page.

These new Passholder pages are where you’ll receive important updates and the fun content you’ve come to expect. Our current Facebook Group will be deactivated in the near future.

Join us on our new pages to make sure you’re keeping up with the latest sneak peeks, giveaways, exclusive UOAP offers, and more.

Thank you, Passholder family, for making it a fun, welcoming space for everyone. See you there!”

Say Hello to the New Era of UOAP Social

The new Facebook page is now live at facebook.com/UOAnnualPassholders, and the Instagram handle is @uoannualpassholders. Both pages just debuted and are already teasing exclusive merch, sneak peeks, contests, perks, and those juicy theme park updates fans live for.

The first post? A slick video announcing the switch, promising that Passholders will still get “your place to stay connected and celebrate all things #UOAP.”

Still Want Perks? You Got ’Em

Despite the group shutdown, Universal is keeping the Passholder love flowing. The full lineup of benefits across all UOAP tiers — Seasonal, Power, Preferred, and Premier — is still going strong. That includes:

  • A dedicated UOAP entrance at Islands of Adventure from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.

  • Discounted multi-day tickets (and yes, Seasonal Passholders now get 15% off instead of 10%!)

  • Exclusive lanyards, like the Epic Universe edition from earlier this year

  • Seasonal buttons, magnets, and limited-edition UOAP merch

  • Access to the UOAP Lounge in Toon Lagoon

If you haven’t browsed your benefits lately, it’s worth checking the UOAP homepage to see what’s waiting for you. Just because the Group is gone doesn’t mean the perks are!

The Final Countdown

There’s no official date yet for the group’s final curtain call, but Universal made it clear: the days are numbered. So if you were part of that OG Facebook Group community, this is your sign to follow the new pages before you’re totally out of the loop.

Bottom Line?

Universal is doing a social media makeover for its Annual Passholder family — and even if it’s goodbye to the Facebook Group era, it’s hello to a sleeker, more curated experience across Instagram and Facebook. Will fans love it? Time will tell. But one thing’s for sure — Universal knows how to make an entrance… even on social.
