Universal Orlando Resort’s Epic Universe may have only opened its gates on May 22, 2025, but the excitement hasn’t slowed down since. With five intricately themed lands—Celestial Park, SUPER NINTENDO WORLD, Dark Universe, The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Ministry of Magic, and How to Train Your Dragon—Isle of Berk—this ambitious theme park has captured guests’ imaginations from the start.
And now, Universal is looking ahead to what comes next. The latest development? A new dining location in Celestial Park, set to open in 2026. Nestled between the park’s main entrance and the Isle of Berk, the newly constructed building features striking teal and white architecture and welcoming outdoor seating. Guests passing by may notice a whimsical message on the doors: “Travelers—pardon our stardust as we ignite a galaxy of flavors and culinary delights. Coming 2026.” While the menu remains a mystery for now, this restaurant is expected to introduce a new taste experience for parkgoers.
This upcoming eatery will join Celestial Park’s existing culinary offerings, which already include The Blue Dragon Pan-Asian Restaurant and Atlantic, along with quick-service stops like Pizza Moon, Comet Dogs and Moonship Chocolates & Celestial Sweets. Each spot adds its own flair to the park’s already diverse and immersive food scene.
But it’s not just about food. Universal is continuing to plan ahead in a big way. “We’re already planning for the next thing at Epic,” Universal Orlando Resort President Karen Irwin shared recently—offering a glimpse into what may lie ahead for the rapidly growing park.
Two large expansion pads are already in place, and fans have been speculating about what those spaces could become. Among the most popular guesses? A Zelda-themed land. While no official confirmation has been given, subtle nods to Zelda inside SUPER NINTENDO WORLD have sparked conversation. In fact, Epic Universe creator Steve Tatham recently acknowledged this groundswell of fan interest, encouraging visitors to take in what’s already been brought to life in the land.
And Universal’s ambitions extend beyond Orlando. In addition to Epic Universe, the company is developing Universal Horror Unleashed in Las Vegas and the kid-friendly Universal Kids Resort in Frisco, Texas. There are also exciting international plans on the horizon, with a new Universal theme park in the United Kingdom targeting a 2031 opening. Potential themes could span global favorites like James Bond, The Lord of the Rings, and Paddington.
As Epic Universe grows, guests can expect more innovations, surprises, and stories waiting to unfold. Whether it’s a delicious new meal in Celestial Park or the mystery of new lands on the horizon, Universal is building something truly special.
