Universal Orlando Annual Passholders have been waiting to see whether Epic Universe will eventually become part of their regular park access.
Universal’s latest ticket offering isn’t the answer they were hoping for.
Instead, Universal Orlando Resort has introduced another separately ticketed way to visit Epic Universe. Universal Nights at Epic Universe will give guests limited-capacity access to the park after its normal operating day, with tickets starting at $179.99 per person.
Passholders do get a discount. They just don’t get admission included with their passes.
Universal Nights Is Coming to Epic Universe
Universal Nights at Epic Universe will be held on October 3 and October 17.
Guests can enter Epic Universe beginning at 7 p.m., while the limited-capacity portion of the evening runs from 9 p.m. until midnight.
During those three hours, Universal says attractions and experiences throughout all five worlds will remain open.
For anyone hoping to pack more attractions into a shorter visit, reduced crowds could be a major selling point.
Universal is also including several extras with admission.
Guests can grab complimentary berry-flavored Celestial Popcorn and crispy Kimchi Bao at Celestial Park. A provided cup will allow attendees to get refills from Coca-Cola Freestyle locations, while character appearances and Celestial Goodnight will also be available.
Passholders Still Have to Buy Another Ticket
Tickets start at $179.99 per person.
Universal Orlando Annual Passholders can receive 10% off admission to Universal Nights, but they’ll still need to purchase the separate event ticket.
Premier Passholders can also save 15% on food and merchandise during the event. Preferred Passholders receive a 10% discount.
Those discounts are useful, but they don’t answer the question Passholders have been asking since Epic Universe opened.
When will Epic Universe actually become part of UOAP admission?
Universal hasn’t announced that it will.
Could Epic Universe Remain Separate?
It’s impossible to say whether Universal will eventually introduce an annual pass that includes regular Epic Universe admission.
For now, though, the resort continues offering ways for Passholders to visit without actually adding the park to their existing passes.
Universal Nights is another example.
Rather than opening Epic Universe through standard UOAP admission, Universal can sell a separate $179.99 event and offer Passholders a discount.
That doesn’t necessarily mean Epic Universe will never join the annual pass lineup. Universal could eventually restructure its passes or introduce another option.
But more than a year after the park opened, Universal still isn’t showing signs that widespread UOAP access is imminent.
If recent ticket offerings are any indication, Passholders could be waiting quite a while—if regular Epic Universe admission ever becomes included at all.
For October 3 and October 17, at least, getting into Epic Universe’s limited-capacity nighttime event will require another ticket.
