Universal Give Epic Universe Annual Pass Update After Major Announcement
Prepare for 6 Weeks of Bigger Crowds
Universal Orlando Annual Passholders are getting six weeks of additional discounts, exclusive offerings, and extended lounge access beginning August 15. What they are not getting is recurring admission to Epic Universe.
Universal Orlando’s 2026 Passholder Appreciation Days will run through September 30, covering Universal Studios Florida, Universal Islands of Adventure, Universal Volcano Bay, CityWalk, and participating resort hotels. The program gives passholders several legitimate opportunities to cut costs during late-summer visits.
Yet the resort’s newest—and arguably most important—theme park remains outside the traditional annual-pass lineup. Passholders can save on a dated Epic Universe ticket, but they must still pay separately each time they want to enter.
That distinction makes this year’s celebration useful, but incomplete.
Universal Orlando Is Offering More Than a Magnet
According to Universal Orlando’s official Passholder Appreciation Days page, the event includes 30% off select Universal Express Pass products purchased at front-gate windows. Availability and restrictions apply.
All passholders can receive an additional 10% discount when using Mobile Food & Drink Ordering. Seasonal and Power Passholders also qualify for 10% off dining at select restaurants.
The merchandise offer requires a little more attention than its headline suggests. A passholder who spends $100 at participating locations will receive a $15 credit, but that credit must be used on a future merchandise purchase of at least $50. It has no cash value and is limited to one use.
Other confirmed benefits include 50% off qualifying Wizarding World merchandise-personalization services, 30% off Universal’s Great Movie Escape tickets purchased at the venue, and 35% off the My Universal Photos Annual Pass Package when purchased inside the parks.
Passholders can also buy one participating character meet-and-greet photo and receive another of equal or lesser value at no charge.
At Volcano Bay, Universal is offering a 10% discount on same-day cabana and premium-seating rentals. Three-Park Power and Seasonal Passholders will receive up to 30 minutes of Early Park Admission on select dates.
These are not merely decorative perks. Express, photography, dining, and hotel costs can quickly overtake the savings that persuaded someone to buy an annual pass in the first place.
The Biggest Savings Require Spending More
Passholders can save up to 40% on Sunday-through-Thursday stays at Loews Sapphire Falls Resort, Universal Stella Nova Resort, Universal Terra Luna Resort, and Endless Summer Resort – Dockside Inn and Suites. Savings vary by hotel and availability.
Universal is also offering a $40 discount on one-day Park-to-Park tickets that passholders can purchase for friends and family. Those tickets must be used by September 30, and prices will vary by date.
Many of these benefits reward guests who were already planning another purchase. A discounted cabana still requires renting a cabana. The merchandise credit begins with a $100 transaction and then encourages a second purchase. Hotel savings matter primarily to passholders planning an overnight stay.
That does not make the offers hollow. It does mean guests should calculate the final price rather than treating the advertised percentage as automatic savings.
Passholder Nights Are Already Full
The most exclusive benefit is no longer available to anyone without a reservation.
Passholder Nights will bring after-hours access to Universal Studios Florida on August 15 and 16. Universal says both nights are now at capacity and it is not accepting additional reservations. Passholders who cancel their existing booking will not be able to select another date.
The rapid sellout demonstrates the appeal of experiences that provide access, not simply opportunities to spend at a discount. It also means Passholder Appreciation Days’ signature event will be unavailable to many passholders before the broader celebration begins.
Universal has extended the operating hours of the UOAP Lounge in Toon Lagoon during the six-week event. The lounge will operate from park opening through park closing, while a still-unrevealed complimentary item will be distributed there and at The Tonight Shop while supplies last.
Epic Universe Remains the Missing Piece
The larger limitation is familiar. More than a year after Epic Universe opened, Universal Orlando’s conventional annual passes still cover either two or three parks—not all four.
Passholders may purchase separate Epic Universe add-on tickets. Universal is currently advertising savings of up to 40% on select dates, combining the standard 15% passholder discount with additional summer savings.
That offer can substantially reduce the cost of a planned visit. Inside the Magic previously found select Epic Universe tickets falling below $100, and Universal has continued adjusting passholder ticket discounts.
But a dated add-on ticket is not annual access. It does not give a local passholder the same freedom to make an unplanned evening visit or return regularly without another admission purchase.
Universal’s FAQ says information about annual passes that include Epic Universe will be announced later. It does not say when, how much they might cost, or whether access would be unlimited. Recent questions surrounding Epic Universe’s passholder model therefore remain unresolved.
Passholder Appreciation Days give existing customers real ways to save. They also make the missing benefit harder to overlook: Universal is thanking its most frequent visitors across nearly every corner of the resort while keeping its newest park a separate purchase.
