Disney Park Guests Only Have 42 Days Left To Ride Toy Story Mania

Toy Story Midway Mania at Disney California Adventure Park will close on April 6 for an indefinite refurbishment, giving Disneyland Resort guests just six weeks to experience the Pixar Pier attraction before it disappears.

Disneyland Resort updated its operational calendar on February 23, confirming the closure date. No reopening timeline has been announced, and the park’s posted schedule ends on April 6.

The closure comes two months before Toy Story 5 premieres in theaters on June 19, 2026. Disneyland Resort may be updating the attraction to incorporate elements from the new film, though Disney hasn’t confirmed this connection.

Disneyland Resort refreshed Toy Story Midway Mania in May 2025 for the Southern California Disney destination‘s 70th anniversary, adding holographic sticker targets and digital graphics. Those themed decorations are scheduled through August 9, 2026, and will likely remain in place after the April refurbishment.

With just 42 days until closure, guests planning Disneyland Resort trips through early April have a narrow window to ride the interactive shooter attraction. After April 6, there’s no guarantee when it will reopen—refurbishments at Disney parks can last weeks or months, depending on the scope.

Nearby Pixar Pier attractions, including Incredicoaster and Pixar Pal-A-Round, will continue operating during Toy Story Midway Mania’s closure. The attraction could be closed for a brief maintenance period or undergo extensive work lasting months—Disneyland Resort hasn’t disclosed the project’s scope or what changes guests should expect when it returns.

The versions of the interactive 3-D shooter attraction in Disney’s Hollywood Studios at Walt Disney World Resort and Tokyo DisneySea at Tokyo Disney Resort will continue to operate normally, even after April 6. Neither park has announced updates to its Toy Story Midway Mania attractions.
