4. Horse Back Riding

Guests who are horse lovers can head over to the Tri-Circle-D Ranch at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground for an unforgettable experience. There, guests nine and up can embark on a horseback riding adventure that lasts for forty five minutes and brings them down woodland trails where other creatures such as deer and armadillos can regularly be spotted. Costing fifty dollars a guest, this experience is well worth the cost for guests looking for a unique recreational activity.

5. Beignet Run

Disney’s Port Orleans Resort French Quarter allows guests to feel as though they have traveled to New Orleans for Mardi Gras, complete with jazz music, wrought iron details, and bright and festive colors all around. In addition to regular daily activities offered at the pool and other locations, the Disney Resort offers the Beignet Run each weekend. Guests who are interested in the recreational activity can sign up ahead of time for a small fee and enjoy a short run around the Disney Resort ending with a delicious breakfast of beignets!

6. Bike Rentals

Many guests love to ride bikes while at home, and they are pleased to have the opportunity to do so while enjoying a Walt Disney World vacation! Each location allows guests the chance to rent both adult and child-sized bikes and set off for a leisurely ride around the beautiful grounds, making it a great way to explore and spend some time.

A timeless recreational activity that many guests love to enjoy are campfires featuring warm and cozy ambiance and lighting paired with complimentary activities such as telling stories or making s’mores. Nearly every Disney Resort in Walt Disney World features a campfire location and offers up the wonderful activity several times a week, making it a great experience for guests to enjoy after a log day exploring the Disney Parks!

8. Carriage Rides

In addition to horseback riding, guests can also enjoy a unique and romantic recreational activity at Disney’s Port Orleans Resort Riverside. There guests can experience a horse drawn carriage ride down the quiet pathways along the Sassagoula River and through the streets of the French Quarter side of the Disney Resort. This relaxing experience lasts for twenty five minutes and costs fifty five dollars, making it a great activity to enjoy at least once.

9. Fort Wilderness Archery Experience

Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort brings the rustic charm of the lodges of the National Parks to life and also offers up wonderful outdoor activities for guests to engage in. A great experience that many guests don’t know about is the Fort Wilderness Archery Experience which allows guests seven years and up the opportunity to spend an hour and a half learning how to use a compound bow to aim at special targets. This wonderful activity is great for both adults and children and a wonderful opportunity to enjoy something new at Walt Disney World.

10. Motorized Boat Rentals

Several marina locations throughout Walt Disney World offer guests the chance to rent various types of motorized boats to set sail and enjoy the water in a new and exciting way. Guests can opt to rent two person Sea Raycer boats in half hour increments, Boston Whaler Montauk boats that seat up to six by the half hour, or Sun Tracker Pontoon boats that seat up to ten by the half hour. Each experience offers up different adventures for guests to enjoy, but all allow them to explore the waters of each marina and take in the sights from a new perspective.
