Magic Kingdom is the most magical place on earth, so it’s not surprising that there are a number of mind-blowing experiences to be had here. Disney Imagineers work hard to ensure that guests are always being amazed by the sights, sounds and attractions here. This is our list of the top ten mind-blowing experiences to be had at Disney’s Magic Kingdom.
10. The Welcome Show
Disney starts the day off with a mind-blowing experience, before the park even officially opens, that’s how amazing this park is. If you arrive about 30 minutes prior to park opening, you will see the Welcome Show, which takes place at the Main Street railroad station. The citizens of Main Street, Mickey and his friends welcome guests to the Magic Kingdom through song and dance and a countdown to the gates opening. The show is really just a small taste of the magic to come, and it is the most delightful way to start your day at the Magic Kingdom.
9. Be Our Guest
Be Our Guest restaurant in Fantasyland is one of the most popular restaurants in Disney, and it can be very difficult to obtain a dining reservation here, and there’s good reason for that. Be Our Guest has some of the most amazing theming and an incredibly immersive dining experience. Guests can dine in the grand ballroom where snow gently falls outside the window, they can see their host the Beast, but perhaps the most amazing experience to be had here is dining in the West Wing. That forbidden and mysterious part of the castle has been opened up, and guests can dine in the dimly lit West Wing, and see the Beast’s princely portrait complete with claw marks, and of course the enchanted rose is there too. Your best chance of dining in the West Wing is to do so during their quick-service meals, which are breakfast and lunch.
8. Mickey Meet and Greet
Meeting the mouse that started it all is a must-do when at Disney, but it’s a mind-blowing experience at the Town Square Theater at Magic Kingdom. The theming is incredibly detailed, and best of all, Magician Mickey talks to guests, making this a thoroughly unique and magical meet and greet.
7. Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom
Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom is an interactive scavenger hunt for guests of all ages, and it’s one of the few totally free things to do at Disney. Make the firehouse on Main Street your first stop to get your spell cards, map and do some training before heading out on your own to battle Disney villains and complete all 9 quests. This game is a great way to spend time with your family exploring the park in a whole new way.
6. The Muppets
Recently The Muppets have joined the Magic Kingdom show roster with The Muppets Present Great Moments in American History. Guests can see real live Muppets perform two amazingly delightful and entertaining shows outside of The Hall of Presidents. This show does a great job of capturing the tone and humor that older fans will remember from The Muppets TV show. Don’t miss seeing Kermit, Piggy and their friends re-enact some great moments in history (but only the American parts).

5. Early Entry
The great thing about getting up early for a breakfast reservation at the Magic Kingdom is that you can gain early entry into the park if your reservation is before the gates open. It’s amazing to walk down a quiet and empty Main Street and see the castle without swarms of people around it.
4. Fireworks Dessert Party
Reservations for dessert parties can be difficult to get, but if you manage to get one for the Fireworks Dessert Party at Tomorrowland Terrace, you are in for an amazing evening! This party offers a delicious buffet of desserts such as cupcakes, ice cream and chocolate covered strawberries. After you’ve indulged in dessert you can take in the spectacular fireworks while seated comfortably on the patio at Tomorrowland Terrace.
3. Riding the Classics
It’s amazing to think about how long the classic attractions like the Haunted Mansion, the Jungle Cruise, Space Mountain, Pirates of the Caribbean and the Country Bears have been delighting guests over the years. Many of classic attractions have roots in Walt Disney himself. It’s incredible that we still love these attractions and can’t wait to ride them with each visit to the Magic Kingdom. The park has a very rich history, which is mind blowing in itself!
2. The Fireworks
It may sound cliché, but the fireworks at Magic Kingdom really are mind-blowing. Whether you’re watching Wishes on a regular night at the park, or seeing a special holiday fireworks show, you will be amazed at how big and bright the fireworks are, and just how many there are. It’s difficult to put into words what it feels like to stand in front of the castle and watch the fireworks explode overhead and fill the night sky with sparkles. Disney really does it best!
1. The Parties
Walt Disney World has a number of special events happening throughout the year, but two of the best events happen at Magic Kingdom and they are Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party and Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party. These two holiday parties happen on select nights, and are ticketed events which means guests will be able to enjoy the festivities among a limited number of people. These parties feature special parades, rare character meet and greets (like all of the Seven Dwarfs, Jack Skellington and Sally) and amazing shows in front of Cinderella Castle. The parties take Disney magic to a whole new level, we’re talking epic fireworks, the Headless Horseman, and snow on Main Street. Both the Halloween and Christmas party are must-dos for Disney fans, and are guaranteed experiences that will blow your mind!
