“Ban Them,” Fans Outraged After Adults Laugh and Film as Man Climbs Out of Disney Ride
Disney Parks fans are furious after a man’s disruptive behavior recently led to the temporary shutdown of Tiana’s Bayou Adventure. The Disneyland Resort guest stood up mid-ride, forcing Disney cast members to evacuate everyone on board.
Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, which opened in Disneyland Park in November 2024, is a retheme of the iconic Splash Mountain. The ride immerses guests in the world of Princess Tiana from The Princess and the Frog (2009) as they help her gather musicians for a New Orleans-style celebration. Guests journey through the same decades-old log-flume ride, replacing the controversial Song of the South (1946) theme with a colorful celebration in the Louisiana Bayou.
Unfortunately, during a recent ride on Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, a man decided to stand up in his log — a clear violation of the attraction’s safety rules. @mainstreetmagia shared a video of the incident on TikTok:
@mainstreetmagia Grown man btw! 🤦🏽♀️ . . . . . #disneyland #disneytiktok #tianasbayouadventure #disney
His actions were noticed almost immediately, thanks to hidden security cameras in the area. A Disneyland Resort cast member quickly responded, instructing him over the PA system to “sit down.” Despite this, the man ignored the warning and continued to stand, which led to the ride being stopped for the safety of all riders.
As the ride paused, the man sat back down, briefly trying to stand again while his friends filmed the moment, laughing. Tiana’s Bayou Adventure attraction had to be temporarily shut down, and as a result, all guests were evacuated while the system was reset — all because one guest decided to break the rules.
Disney Parks fans were quick to express their outrage over the incident, and many pointed out how dangerous the man’s behavior was.
“Not only is this dangerous for the person, it could also unbalance the weight in the log and make it tip over bc no one else is standing,” @princess_courtney_ wrote.
“Kick him out of the park,” @trishalemke replied. “He’s endangering everyone’s life.”
As the incident gained traction, several former Disney cast members weighed in with suggestions on handling such situations. @jasenplus shared an experience, recounting how a manager would deal with guests who broke safety rules:
“She’d pull the person away from their group and over to the ‘no standing’ sign and point at it and explain that their day in the park is done. Then she’d point to the rest of the group and say, ‘And now since you have to leave their day in the park is probably over too, because you couldn’t follow this simple safety instruction.’ Then she’d hand them to security to be escorted off property. Grown men in tears.”
The behavior didn’t sit well with many, with fans referencing an increasing trend of inappropriate conduct at Disneyland Resort and Walt Disney World Resort.
“I HATE the main character syndrome that plagues so many these days,” @jennifermosserpsu said.
“As someone who works at a theme park this is so extremely annoying and frustrating, I swear these people try to make our jobs as miserable as possible,” @landensrevenge replied.
As of this article’s publication, Tiana’s Bayou Adventure had resumed normal operations. However, Disneyland Resort has not issued a public statement regarding any potential consequences for the guests involved.
