One Arrested, One Injured After Fight Over Tiana’s Bayou Adventure at Disney World
A family trip to Walt Disney World Resort took a violent turn on the evening of Saturday, November 15, 2025. According to a police report, a fight broke out while the group was attempting to reach Tiana’s Bayou Adventure.
The incident was initially reported based on police scanner audio, noting a “Battery (Unwanted Touching)” call somewhere near the Adventureland and Frontierland areas at Magic Kingdom Park. Newly released police documents now describe the confrontation in detail, revealing how the situation escalated before deputies arrived.
Tiana’s Bayou Adventure: The Most Controversial Disney Retheme

Tiana’s Bayou Adventure has been a lightning rod for discussion ever since the updated log flume attraction opened in 2024. Its debut officially replaced Splash Mountain, the original Disneyland Park and Magic Kingdom Park log flume ride that drew inspiration from Song of the South (1946). That film’s controversial depictions of Black Americans and post–Civil War life drew decades of criticism, prompting Disney to permanently retire the theme.
The Princess and the Frog (2009)-inspired retheme brought new technology, lively characters, and updated storytelling to the attraction. While many fans applauded the inclusive direction and modernized experience, others expressed disappointment in the pacing of the new story and the removal of the familiar Splash Mountain cast. Technical problems during previews and the early months of operation also contributed to the ongoing debate, as the ride struggled with repeated evacuations, canceled previews, and animatronics that occasionally stalled while the rest of the scenes continued to operate.
Altercation at the Magic Kingdom

According to a redacted police report shared on Monday, November 17, by the X (formerly Twitter) account @WDWActiveCrime, the fight that unfolded two days prior was connected to the family’s attempt to navigate to Tiana’s Bayou Adventure. The victim stated that she and her sister arrived at Magic Kingdom Park around 7:30 p.m. and began searching for the Frontierland attraction. While trying to find their way, they ended up “taking the long route,” which quickly led to tension between the two.

The report states that after an argument began, the sister, identified as Tacquaya, “became aggressive toward her and struck her in the face.” Their mother attempted to intervene, but Tacquaya reportedly attacked a second time, “causing both of them to fall to the ground.” The victim told deputies that she grabbed Tacquaya to “prevent further injury.” Walt Disney World Resort security officers separated the women as sheriff’s deputies responded to the scene.
Deputies noted a “visible bump” near the victim’s left eye. She received medical attention onsite and informed authorities that she did not wish to testify or pursue charges against her sister.

In her own interview, Tacquaya claimed that the victim “became aggressive” and got “close to her face, which she did not appreciate.” She admitted the confrontation “became physical” and acknowledged that both women fell during the altercation. Deputies ultimately determined that Tacquaya was the “primary aggressor.”
Tacquaya was arrested for “Battery (Domestic Violence)” and transported to the Booking and Release Center. According to the report, the victim declined to press charges.
