Disney Parks Blog announced that there would be a new program at Walt Disney World added to the Disney Youth Education Series program. This new program will be open to grades K through 12th and will be known as, “The Science Behind the Seeds.” During this program the kiddos will learn about sustainable food production. It will be a three hour program that will allow kids a hands-on look on how science, technology, sustainability and teamwork all come together to help make solutions a reality.
Here is the description of the program: “During this interactive exploration of the Living with the Land attraction at Epcot, students will investigate innovative, sustainable growing techniques and learn how to incorporate them into their own gardens. They will also discover how various hydroponic techniques function to help plants grow and learn how exciting alternative fruits, vegetables and grains can diversify their diets and gardens”
Groups of 10 or more students can be booked for the program at DisneyYouth.com. You can also sign up for the e-newsletter on the site in order to get all of the latest info about the Disney Youth Programs.
