Disney Dining Serving up the latest Disney Eats, Treats, News, and More!
The Edison is a new restaurant and entertainment venue that is planned to open at Disney Springs in Walt Disney World. The opening of this new, intriguing location keeps getting pushed further back. It was originally supposed to open in Late 2016, and then it was announced that it would open in Spring 2017. Signs have been updated around Disney Springs that now indicate that The Edison will open in Late 2017. We have no way of knowing if this timeline will really be the final timeline, but we can hope. When in the area, you can see that there is still a lot of work being done to build the location from all of the scaffolding and construction that is going on in the area. The restaurant will be The Landing area of Disney Springs.
This new location seems to be unlike anything else on property with the entire theme of the restaurant being set in a 1920’s era electric company. The entertainment will include Cabaret-style entertainment. The menu will be a more traditional Americana-style menu with specialty drinks and cocktails to match the roarin’ 20’s theme of the restaurant. We expect that the restaurant will be an extremely popular nightlife location for adults at Disney Springs and another great addition to the area.
