In celebration of “May the Fourth”—also known as Star Wars Day—Disneyland Paris will introduce exclusive themed experiences throughout Disneyland Park. From May 4 through May 11, guests will have the rare chance to meet iconic characters from across the Star Wars galaxy.

“For the first time, Ahsoka is visiting Disneyland Park from May 4 to May 11,” the official Disneyland Paris website shares. “*While exploring, you may occasionally encounter fan favorites such as Chewbacca, Darth Vader and Din Djarin – also known also the Mandalorian – and Grogu. If you are looking to take a walk on the dark side, Kylo Ren and Stormtroopers can also be found roaming around Discoveryland.”

The arrival of Ahsoka Tano is a major moment for Disneyland Paris, marking her first-ever appearance at the resort. First introduced in Star Wars: The Clone Wars—voiced by Ashley Eckstein—Ahsoka was the Padawan of Anakin Skywalker and has since become a standout figure in the Star Wars universe, including her live-action debut in The Mandalorian on Disney+ where Rosario Dawson portrays her.

Guests visiting during this time can also take part in a new, interactive experience. “From May 4 to May 24 at Disneyland Paris, you can master the art of lightsaber wielding during a new walk-up interactive experience in Discoveryland!” the announcement continues. “This hands-on moment – recommended for children under 10 – will reveal the ways of the Force, thanks to the knowledge of the Saja.”

Disney resorts around the world will join in the festivities, offering themed merchandise, galactic eats, and special moments. At Walt Disney World Resort, Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge in Disney’s Hollywood Studios will once again utilize a virtual queue system for guests eager to snag limited-time merchandise.

While these interstellar offerings are making waves this year, Disneyland Paris is also looking to the future. A major transformation is underway at Walt Disney Studios Park, which will soon become Disney Adventure World. The new name will take effect in 2026, coinciding with the grand opening of the highly anticipated World of Frozen.

Before Anna, Elsa, and Olaf officially arrive, guests will be welcomed into World Premiere and World Premiere Plaza, debuting on May 15, 2025. These enhancements are part of a sweeping €2 billion investment in the resort, first announced by Disney CEO Bob Iger in 2018.

This transformation includes new themed lands inspired by beloved franchises like Frozen, Marvel, and The Lion Kingwhich will bring guests face-to-face with the world of Pride Rock in the resort’s first-ever land dedicated to the 1994 animated classic.

Interestingly, while Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge had been rumored as a possible addition to Walt Disney Studios Park, the updated Disney Adventure World plans did not include a Star Wars-themed land. Instead, fans will find that their Star Wars adventures are happening right now—especially during this May’s special celebration.

When he’s not thinking about the Magic Kingdom, Thomas is usually reading a book, becoming desperately obsessed with fictional characters, or baking something delicious (his favorite is chocolate cake -- to bake and to eat). He's a dreamer and grew up on Mulan saving the world, Jim Hawkins soaring through the stars, and Padmé Amidala fighting a Nexu. At the Parks, he loves to ride Everest, stroll down Main Street with an overstuffed pin lanyard around his neck, and eat as many Mickey-shaped ice creams as possible. His favorite character is Han Solo (yes, he did shoot first), and his… More »
