We previously announced that Ziploc is now the new sponsor for Splash Mountain at Walt Disney World. Guests tend to get a little bit wet on this popular attraction within Magic Kingdom Park. As part of the sponsorship from Ziploc, there will soon be Ziploc bags that are distributed to guests before boarding the attraction. Guests will be able to use the bags to protect their cell phone or other belongings. The Ziploc bag distribution was originally expected to begin in August, but Disney decided not to roll it out at the same time that announcements were being made about reducing plastic waste at Walt Disney World.
For guests that don’t want to use a Ziploc bag after leaving the attraction, there will be a recycling option for guests to return the bags so that they can be appropriately recycled in order to reduce waste. There are other recycling bins for bottles and other plastics all around Walt Disney World in order to help ensure that plastic waste gets recycled.
Who else out there thinks that it will be pretty handy to have a Ziploc bag to keep things dry while on Splash Mountain?
