Sorry, But These Are the WORST Snacks At EPCOT
One of the best parts of a Walt Disney World Resort vacation is dining on food that you won’t really get anywhere else. While the theme parks are full of traditional offerings, like pizza and chicken tenders, Disney World food is so much more.
And the one place Disney foodies love to go is EPCOT. The World Showcase has eleven pavilions, each representing a different country. And each pavilion has some absolutely mouthwatering food that you will be dreaming of until your next vacation.

Unfortunately, not every dining option is a winner. And the following are snacks that I will definitely be staying away from on my next visit to EPCOT.
Caramel Butter Bar – Karamell-Küche
Now, I know what you’re thinking, that I am crazy for putting one of the most popular treats at EPCOT on the list. However, I think that, while the Caramel Butter Bar might be the most popular choice Karamell-Küche, that doesn’t mean that it is the best.
Since it’s called a butter bar, the crust is an incredibly buttery shortbread, but when you add a top layer of crust as well, it just becomes a bit too much. The bar, instead of having a delicious buttery quality, ends up coming off as more oily.

I still HIGHLY recommend going to Karamell-Küche, as it has a ton of delicious options. I recommend both the Caramel Pecan Bar and the Dark Chocolate Sea Salt Caramel. The Pecan Bar has the perfect amount of shortbread crust, and the Dark Chocolate Sea Salt Caramel is perfectly sweet and salty.
And make sure you leave with a bag of freshly popped caramel popcorn!
Jumbo Pretzel – Sommerfest
Here’s another choice that you might find surprising. After all, Germans are known for their fabulous pretzels, especially when you pair them with a flavorful beer.
Unfortunately, the Jumbo Pretzel at the Germany Pavilion tends to be very dry. So dry that, if you do buy it, we recommend piling on the mustard or getting some kind of beverage.
This is particularly disappointing because the Biergarten Restaurant serves an absolutely delectable Beer Cheese Soup! This makes us wonder why Sommerfest doesn’t offer soup as an add-on option with the pretzel.
Chicken Teriyaki – Katsura Grill
It seems to be the overwhelming consensus that a lot of the Asian cuisine at the Walt Disney World theme parks is underwhelming. But there is nothing more underwhelming than the Chicken Teriyaki at Katsura Grill.
The chicken is boiled, which depletes it of any real flavor, and then tossed in a below-average teriyaki sauce. But even if the teriyaki sauce was out of this world, it’s not enough to save the boiled, dry chicken.

While not everything at Katsura Grill is as bad as the Teriyaki Chicken, I really just recommend skipping this dining spot.
Beverly Soda – Club Cool
You might not think of a beverage as a snack, but I would be remiss if I did not mention the infamous Beverly at Club Cool.
Guests can visit Club Cool and taste various Coca-Cola products from around the world, including the Dominican Republic, the Philippines, China, Korea, and Russia.
The most controversial offering at Club Cool is, without a doubt, the Beverly, which hails from Italy. It is a very bitter, citrus-flavored soda that guests will take one sip of and remember the unpleasant flavor for years to come.
However, if you are adventurous and have never tried the Beverly, then you do so at your own risk.
*Honorable Mention*
Lotus Blossom Café
Now, right off the bat, I will say that Lotus Blossom Café isn’t so terrible that you’ll want to skip it. But it is a very generic version of American Chinese food. Many people who have eaten there compare it to the fast-casual restaurant Panda Express.
However, if you are looking for some Chinese food that you are used to, Lotus Blossom Café offers dishes like Pork Egg Rolls, Chicken Dumplings, Sweet-and-Sour Chicken, and Orange Chicken.
Of course, every food offering at the Walt Disney World Resort comes down to personal preference. There might be people who love dining at Lotus Blossom, or love just how much butter is in the Caramel Butter Bar. Heck, there might even be guests who love getting their complimentary cup of Beverly soda (although we highly doubt it).
If you plan on visiting EPCOT in the near future, then I really recommend you skip the above offerings, but I would never be one to tell someone else what to do! But consider this your warning!
