We are so excited for the new happenings with Disney Vacation Club. One of these new happenings is the 15th Disney Vacation Club property, Disney’s Riviera Resort. This weekend, Disney Parks, Experiences, and Consumer Products Chairman Bob Chapek announced more details about the property at D23’s Destination D: Celebrating Mickey Mouse. Disney’s Riviera Resort is set to open Fall 2019 for guests. The resort is inspired by the European grandeur Walt Disney experienced in his travels along Europe’s Mediterranean coastline. This new Disney Vacation Club resort will offer guests a great view of fireworks spectaculars and easy access to the Disney Skyliner, which will have a station at the resort.
New artist renderings were also released for the resort (the main image for the article). In 1935, not long after Mickey Mouse was born, Walt took a break from the production of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. Walt & Lillian and Roy & Edna Disney took an extended grand tour of Europe that would have an impact on Disney storytelling for decades to come. With its castles and colorful, fairy-tale villages, Walt fell in love with Europe – the art, the architecture, the food, and, of course, the stories.
This new resort looks to be amazing and we are sure it is going to offer guests and their families with amazing vacation stays.
What do you all think of the new Disney Riviera Resort?
