Skip the Wait: Guests Can Purchase a “Lightning Lane” for Disney Transportation

If you’ve ever started your Disney World day bright and early only to find a massive crowd already waiting at your bus stop or Skyliner station, you know how quickly those “extra” morning minutes can vanish. And after a long day of walking the parks, there’s nothing more deflating than arriving at your resort transportation to see a line that could circle the building—especially when you end up squeezed in shoulder-to-shoulder for the ride back.

But there’s now a way to skip all of that. Just like you can pay to bypass the ride queues, you can also pay to breeze past those transportation waits—and you don’t even need a park reservation or tricky booking strategy to do it.

Minnie Vans: The “Lightning Lane” for Getting Around

Disney’s Minnie Van service is essentially a VIP pass for transportation. Powered by Lyft, these polka-dotted SUVs and vans are driven by Disney Cast Members and can seat up to six guests, with two built-in car seats included. That means no juggling stroller space on a crowded bus or hoping you can find a seat at the end of a long day.

Unlike regular rideshares, Minnie Vans can drop you off directly at Magic Kingdom’s gates instead of the Transportation and Ticket Center—saving you an extra monorail or ferry ride.

Where They’ll Take You

The service covers the entire Walt Disney World property, from theme parks and water parks to Disney Springs and resort hotels. They’re especially useful for resort-to-resort transfers, which normally require multiple bus rides and can take over an hour. With a Minnie Van, you’re there in 15 minutes or less.

The Price Breakdown

Fares range from $30 to $70 depending on the distance. While that might sound steep at first, consider this: a Lightning Lane Multi Pass for four people can easily run $72–$80 for a single day. If you only use a Minnie Van strategically—say, after fireworks when bus lines are at their worst—you could spend less than half that and save yourself the hassle.

Why It Works for Families

Much like Lightning Lane for rides, Minnie Vans are all about time saved and frustration avoided. You skip unpredictable lines, avoid multiple stops, and ride in comfort with a driver who knows the property inside and out. For families with tired kids or early morning breakfast reservations, that convenience can be worth every penny.
