Skip the Line: Epic Universe’s Famous Pizza Has a Secret New Trick
Raise your hand if this has happened to you at Epic Universe. You’re starving, you know exactly what you want (pizza, obviously), but the thought of stopping your whole day to go inside a restaurant makes you wince. The ride reservations, the kids’ patience, the schedule, it all falls apart over lunch.
Universal just fixed that, at least for the park’s most famous pizza.
Pizza Moon, the gorgeous pizzeria in Celestial Park that guests have adored since the park’s opening day, now has a dedicated pick-up stand sitting right outside the restaurant along the walkway. Mobile order, walk up, grab your pie, keep moving. That’s the whole process.
How It Works
It could not be simpler. Open the Universal Orlando Resort app and search for Pizza Moon Pickup, which shows up as its own separate listing from the main restaurant. Place your order, and when it’s ready, swing by the stand outside and collect your food without ever setting foot indoors.
If you’ve used the new Satellite Shakes window near Meteor Astropub, this will feel familiar. More on that connection in a minute.
What You Can Order
Fair warning, the pick-up menu is short and sweet. You get a choice of two 12 inch pizzas: the Pizza Moon Pepperoni or the Harvest Moon. Sweet tooth? The Brownie Eclipse dessert made the cut too. Round it out with bottled beverages or a canned beer, and you’ve got a full meal on the go.
Want the deep menu, from a simple cheese pie to the fully loaded options? That still requires going inside, where the whole spread remains available. And honestly, the interior is worth experiencing at least once. The restaurant is themed as an early 1900s Victorian theater turned eatery, and Universal bills it as home to the finest pizzas in the park. Their tagline says the moon really is made of cheese and pepperoni, and after one bite, you might agree.
Where to Find It
Pizza Moon sits in Celestial Park, right near the portal to Super Nintendo World. That location is part of what makes the pick-up stand so useful. Grab your pizza while half your group waits out the Mario Kart line, and everyone wins.
Epic Universe Keeps Quietly Leveling Up
Here’s the fun part for park watchers. This is the second grab-and-go upgrade to appear in Celestial Park recently. The old Meteor Astropub pickup window was just converted into Satellite Shakes, a walk-up spot dedicated to elaborate specialty milkshakes like Captain Cacao’s Starlight Voyage, while the Astropub itself shifted to table delivery only.
Two changes, same theme. Universal is clearly studying how guests move through its newest park and adding faster food options where the demand is. A year after opening, Epic Universe is still being tuned in real time, and dining is where a lot of that tuning is showing up.
Our Epic Universe Take
This is one of those small changes that makes a real difference on the ground. Pizza Moon earned its fan-favorite status early, and popularity comes with lines. Giving guests a way to enjoy the park’s best pizza without sacrificing a chunk of their day is a win for everyone, including the guests inside who now share the restaurant with fewer takeout orders.
So on your next Epic Universe day, do yourself a favor. Fire up the app around lunchtime, order from Pizza Moon Pickup, and eat your pepperoni pie somewhere with a view. Some upgrades are flashy. This one is just delicious.
