Single Rider Line at Expedition Everest in Walt Disney World Closed

We have confirmed that the single rider line entrance for Expedition Everest will be completely unavailable starting on April 26th and running through May 16th.  The line allows guests who don’t need to sit directly with members of their party to board the ride faster by filling the open spaces from odd numbered parties.  This is definitely a great line to utilize if you don’t have a FastPass+ selection for the ride and the line is long.  It appears that this queue will be closed for refurbishments that will impact the queue, since it is shorter and separate from other queues.  The stand-by and FastPass+ queues will be unaffected with this change and still operating normally.  Cast members will pull single-riders from the standby line as they can to help keep the lines moving and keep empty seats from running through.  We haven’t received any confirmation as to what these changes impacting the queue are expected to be.

Expedition Everest is an exciting roller coaster at Disney’s Animal Kingdom in Walt Disney World.  The coaster is located in the Asia area and has received notoriety as the most expensive roller coaster built in the world, topping the charts at $100M to build.  The coaster goes backward and forward, in the same ride, so you are in for several thrills along the way, including an encounter with the Yeti!
