Sidewalk By Guest Relations at Disney’s Hollywood Studios Closed for Park Entry

Disney has now closed the sidewalk along by Guest Relations at Disney’s Hollywood Studios for park entry.  Guests coming from the parking lots on that side liked to use this entry, as it would save walk time.  The alternate route for these parking lots means crossing the street and walking around the bus stops to get to the entry of the park.  Now this will be the only way to enter the park, as it appears the extra entry point is closed.  The sidewalk will remain available as a means to exit the park, but just not to enter.

We suspect that the removal of this entry point is to help streamline the bag check and metal detector checks upon guest entry.  It is likely an extra burden to staff and properly secure two entry points.  This also allows Disney to control the flow of entry traffic better.
