It’s not every day that guests on their way to Walt Disney World are greeted by flashing emergency lights and the sight of a car sinking into a nearby waterway. But that’s exactly what happened recently outside the Magic Kingdom parking lot in what many are calling one of the most surreal traffic incidents ever witnessed near the park.
According to video footage making rounds online, a vehicle somehow veered off the road and ended up partially submerged in a body of water located just beyond the parking area. In the video, you can see emergency crews from the Orange County Sheriff’s Office and Fire Department surrounding the scene as they work to secure the area.

There’s no official explanation yet as to how or why the car ended up in the water. Officials haven’t shared any updates about the driver’s condition, and there’s been no word on injuries. This unexpected event follows another traffic scare in the area just days earlier. On I-4 near the Disney exits, a fertilizer truck collided with a Ford Focus and burst into flames, forcing officials to shut down westbound lanes.
