We have exciting news for guests out there staying at Shades of Green Resort when they visit Walt Disney World for vacation! Guests of the resort will now be able to make FastPass+ reservations 60 days in advance of their arrival date, just like guests that stay at the other resorts at Walt Disney World can do. Previously, the guests at Shades of Green were only able to make FastPass+ selections 30 days in advance, just like all other guests can no matter where they stay. Not only that, but this means that the resort reservations for Shades of Green can also be linked to an active My Disney Experience account. With resort stays linked, now Shades of Green guests will be able to make dining reservations for their entire stay 180 days in advance instead of having to make their dining reservations one day at a time when the 180 day mark arrives. These added features definitely help guests at the resort with their vacation planning.
The guests at Shades of Green Resort still won’t receive free MagicBands with their vacation packages. They are able to purchase MagicBands and link them to their My Disney Experience account so that the vacation package is linked that way.
The Shades of Green Resort is a resort that is only for members of the military and their family members. There are eligibility requirements in order to book a stay there and then guests are able to book a certain number of additional rooms for other family members to go on the trip with them. The resort is conveniently located next to popular golf courses as well as very close to the Magic Kingdom area of Walt Disney World.
We greatly appreciate members of the military for their service, so we are glad that Disney is extending these extra planning features to these families!
