Sakura Festival Coming to Morimoto Asia in Walt Disney World

We are so excited to learn about a special celebration coming to Walt Disney World.  The Sakura Festival is set to run from March 15th through April 15th  at Morimoto Asia located within Disney Springs.  This is a celebration for the arrival of spring and cherry blossoms, so the restaurant will be decorated with pink blooms of the Sakura.  There will be various ticketed events during the festival as well as special menu items which will be dedicated to all things cherry blossoms.

The special events that will be available during the festival include:

• Crooked Can Happy Hour:  Thursday, March 15th from 5 PM to 7 PM
  • This special happy hour will feature Crooked Can Brewing Company’s brew masters to taste the Sakura Kolsch, which is only available at Morimoto Asia. This will also be paired with various Pan-Asian bites.
  • Ticket price:  $25 per person
• Late Night Suntory Pairing:  Friday, March 23rd from 9 PM to 11 PM
  • This event will feature Japanese whiskey cocktails which are presented by Suntory and will be paired with snacks from Morimoto Asia’s Forbidden Lounge.  DJ Jimmy Joslin will also be there.
  • Ticket price:  $32 per person
• Seas of Japan 101:  Friday, March 30th from 4 PM to 6 PM
  • Guests will attend a special event where they can learn about how to break down fresh fish to serve for sushi and Japanese cuisine.  They will also have a tasting and enjoy a sake sampling during the experience.
  • Ticket price:  $45 per person
• Morimoto Asia’s Guest Chef Series:  Tuesday, April 3rd from 7 PM to 9PM
  • Executive Chef Yuhi Fujinaga and Chef de Cuisine Hung Huynh welcome Chef Hitoshi Sugiura to kick off Morimoto Asia’s Guest Chef Series. The chefs will prepare a collaborative six-course Pan-Asian dinner, paired with wines from across the globe.
  • Ticket price:  $120 per person
• Ramen Seminar and Tasting:  Saturday, April 7th from 12 PM to 3 PM
  • During this afternoon event, guest will learn about different Asian noodles and how to prepare them.  Guests will also get to taste different ramen dishes.
  • Ticket price:  $36 per person
• Matsuri Festival:  Sunday, April 15th from 12 PM to 4 PM
  • The festival will come to an end with a family day that is inspired by the traditional Matsuri festival of Japan.  Guests can enjoy multiple Pan-Asian street food stations, 4 beer and cocktail stations throughout the interior and exterior of the restaurant. Gaming stations will include traditional Japanese carnival games, shuffleboard, origami artist, calligraphy artist, giveaways and more.
  • Ticket price:  $45 per person
