Rumor Alert!  Disney World Begins Offsite Magic Band Tests

Several fans sites are reporting that during January 2014, selected offsite guests will be begin testing the majority of the MyMagic+ elements, including My Disney Experience, FastPass+ at all four parks and the use of MagicBands.

This will be welcome news for Annual Passholders and offsite guests if it is true.  Disney has previously said that MagicBands will eventually be available to offsite guests for a small fee in place of using the R.F.I.D.card based tickets

The lack of available Fastpasses for offsite guests and the reported demise of the legacy Fastpass system have created a very large controversy with Disney World fans sparking vigorous debates between the “on property” and “off property” camps.

This would represent the first time that offsite guests can use the full range of MyMagic+ services.
