REPORT: Disney World Monorail Blocked off as of July 30, 2025

Walt Disney World Resort has introduced a new disruption for park guests, as reports indicate that the Monorail system has been partially blocked off as of July 30, 2025.

To access the Magic Kingdom, guests park at the Transportation & Ticket Center (TTC), ride a parking tram, undergo security screening, and take the Monorail or watercraft to the park entrance. Guests can also take the Monorail to EPCOT, purchase theme park tickets, and visit the Lost & Found Center at the TTC.

However, this week, Walt Disney World Resort blocked off half of the entrances to the Transportation & Ticket Center, making Monorail and watercraft transportation more confusing for Disney Park guests. Reports from @WDWNT on X (formerly known as Twitter) have confirmed that the left side ticket booths at the TTC have been blocked with construction walls and temporary planters.

The exact reason for the disruption is still unclear, as Walt Disney World Resort has not made any official statements on the matter. The blockage could be related to routine maintenance, like repainting and repaving. It’s possible that, after work on the left-side ticket booths is completed, the right-side ticket booths will undergo similar construction. However, nothing is confirmed.

It’s unclear how long the area will remain blocked off or whether this is part of a larger project, but Disney Park guests will need to plan for extra time ahead of any future visits to Magic Kingdom Park or EPCOT. Restrooms in the area are still accessible, and Monorail and watercraft transportation remain available behind the construction walls.
