Soarin’ vs Test Track
Picture this: first thing in the morning, you are lined up at the turnstiles of Epcot ready to begin your day of fun in the park. You chose Frozen Ever After as your Tier 1 FastPass+, so now you have to decide: Soarin’ or Test Track at rope drop. Would you rather soar around the world, or speed around the track?
Soarin’
With its innovative ride system to make you feel like you are suspended in air and flying over some of the world’s greatest landmarks, Soarin’ is definitely an attraction you do not want to miss. Imagineers plussed the experience by adding in effects like scents and breezes to really convince you that you are indeed hang gliding across the globe. Although some people may not be able to enjoy this attraction due to motion sensitivities all in all it is a family friendly ride that produces thrills in a milder environment than its counterpart across Future World. Since this attraction is indoors you can ride rain or shine.

Test Track
The experience with Test Track begins in the queue when you get to design your own test vehicle to stand up to the rigors of the testing environment. This is a fun diversion that helps take your mind off the amount of time you are waiting for the attraction. Once buckled in to your car you are ready to put your vehicle design through the paces. Inside the attraction building you test the brakes, environmental impact and handling. These experiences are mild compared to what comes next, but guests with motion sensitivities, those who are pregnant or have back, neck or heart issues will definitely want to skip this one. Once you avoid a near collision with the tractor trailer you are ready for the real thrills—racing outside on a banked turn going up to 65 miles per hour. This speedy thrill is actually much slower than most people drove if they take I-95 down to Orlando for their vacation, but throw in the open top and the banked turn and you have some serious thrills. If you have a need for speed Test Track is the attraction for you! After evaluating your car’s performance and exiting you have the chance to take part in some games and photo ops before you reach the gift shop exit. Don’t forget your ride photo at the PhotoPass kiosk.
So, if you had to pick, would you rather fly or drive?
