Racist Fight Over Disney World Parade Sees Two Families Removed From Park
Another fight recently broke out over a viewing spot for Walt Disney World Resort’s new nighttime parade, Disney Starlight: Dream the Night Away.
Disney Starlight: Dream the Night Away debuted at Magic Kingdom Park on July 20, 2025. The dazzling procession features dozens of talented dancers, a train mascot named Whimsy, and several sparkling floats inspired by films like Moana (2016), Wish (2023), and Frozen (2013).
As the first nighttime parade at Walt Disney World Resort in nearly a decade, Disney Starlight is a major draw for guests. Unfortunately, it’s also bringing some of the ugliest parts of humanity to The Most Magical Place on Earth.
Earlier this week, news broke that a 51-year-old woman had been arrested after injuring a 17-year-old girl in a fight over a viewing spot for Disney Starlight: Dream the Night Away. After that story broke, another Magic Kingdom Park guest shared that she was hospitalized with a concussion after being shoved off the curb before a performance of the nighttime parade.
Now, another Walt Disney World Resort guest says they witnessed a racist altercation over a parade-viewing spot that resulted in security removing two families from Magic Kingdom Park. Reddit user u/Informal_Mouse_3977 wrote:
”On July 24th I was right beside these two families when they started fighting over a spot at the parade. The old white man even called the black woman the n word! They were both kicked out and the poor woman’s child was devastated“
In the comments, the Disney Park guest added that the man’s wife pushed the other woman’s daughter. However, the man’s family was the first to claim the viewing spot for Disney Starlight: Dream the Night Away.
“From what I heard the man’s family was there first I guess,” the Redditor explained. “But when the woman and her daughter tried to squeeze in the man started getting really disrespectful and the wife apparently pushed her daughter. The woman then started saying that she isn’t moving and then the fight started.”
Ultimately, both families were removed from Walt Disney World Resort.
If you experience conflict with another Disney Park guest, alert the nearest cast member. Escalating the situation could turn violent and/or result in consequences for both you and the offending guest.
